The watch shown above is the PRG-80T-7VER Casio Solar Powered Watch - Titanium, the same watch that Alex’s wears whilst sailing.
“A great watch. What I especially like about it is the barometer - and the 24 hour trend history. Often when sailing I don’t check the main barometer on the boat as much as I should - but this lets me see what is going on without having to leave the deck.
Before I started testing this watch I thought barometers on a watch were rather gimmicky, but its been checked against calibrated kit held by the UK coastguard and its generally fully accurate. Its often more reactive to a change than a small barometer I have mounted on a bulkhead down below - this lower damping gives me an advantage when sailing in weather where a front is passing through”
